Bluetooth® Setup Guide:

Note: You must have Windows XP SP2 to proceed.

1. It is recommended that you print these Setup instructions before beginning.




2. Plug in your Bluetooth® USB dongle and allow Windows to automatically install the software for it. When the installation is complete, you should have the following icon in your system tray:


3. Double click on the Bluetooth icon located in your system tray and the following 'Bluetooth Devices' dialog box will appear. Click the 'Add' button in order to start the 'Add Bluetooth Device Wizard'.


4. Once the 'Add Bluetooth Device Wizard' starts you must prepare your phone's Bluetooth connection to be discovered. Perform the following operation on your phone: Go to 'Settings » Connections » Bluetooth Link » Setup' and make sure your "Power" option is turned to "ON" and then select "Find Me".

Note: Phone models may vary. Please refer to your phone's user manual for precise settings.

Once you've configured your phone, click the 'Next' button on the Wizard:


5. Windows will now search for your phone's Bluetooth connection:


6. Once Windows finds your phone's Bluetooth connection, click the 'Next' button on the Wizard:


7. Enter a unique passkey to use for your phone's Bluetooth connection and click the 'Next' button on the Wizard:


8. Windows will now communicate with your mobile phone in a 3-step process. Once the connection has been established your phone will prompt you to enter the passkey you selected in step #6 above:

After you've entered the passkey into your phone, Windows will complete the Bluetooth device installation. Click the 'Next' button on the Wizard when this is complete.


9. Once the Wizard is complete, click on the 'Finish' button to close the dialog box:


10. Your phone should now appear in the 'Bluetooth Devices' dialog window. Click the 'Properties' button:


11. Select the 'Services' tab on the 'Properties' dialog window and verify that your Dial-up networking (DUN) service appears and that the check box is checked.

Close both the 'Properties' and 'Bluetooth Devices' dialog boxes by clicking their respective 'OK' buttons and your finished.

Congratulations! Your Bluetooth device is now configured for use by SyncCell.
