You can use either a USB data cable connection OR a Bluetooth connection in order to sync your phone. The choice is yours!

5. I am receiving a device error when installing the SyncCell USB Modem Driver, or I have one of the following phone models: Alltel V3a, Verizon K1m, Verizon Maxx Ve, Verizon L7c, Verizon Razr2 V9m, Sprint V3m, or Sprint K1m.  Is there another USB driver that I can try?

Yes, you can download and install the USB Drivers from http://developer.Motorola.com.  The driver is free, but you will need to create a userid first.  After logging in with the new userid, search for "usb driver", or navigate directly to http://developer.motorola.com/docstools/USB_Drivers/Handset_USB_Driver

Alternatively, an older version of the Motorola driver can be obtained from the following link without creating an id. However, this driver may not be compatible with all models and opearting systems. http://direct.motorola.com/hellomoto/nss/driversNplugins.asp

7. How come I'm not able to transfer files with SyncCell using my Verizon phone?

SyncCell has a file transfer feature that provides a quick and easy method of uploading and downloading videos, photos, and ring tones. However, Verizon specifically disables the file transfer functionality on most of their phones so Verizon customers are unable to transfer video, photos and ring tones.

The file transfer limitation is imposed by Verizon and cannot be overcome by SyncCell or any other phone syncing software on the market. However, all other SyncCell features are fully functional on Verizon phones.

8. My phone is not listed as a supported device; will it still work with SyncCell?

Many phone models will work with SyncCell that have not been specifically certified. We are working all the time to certify new models with SyncCell. If you have a phone that is not listed as a supported device, please contact us directly and let us know the model of the phone and your cellular service provider.

9. I have more contacts in Outlook than I have room for on my phone. Can I still use SyncCell? Is there a way to filter which contacts will sync?

The typical mobile phone configuration supports approximately 1,000 contacts while Outlook has no such limitation. A user may have more contacts on their PC than available memory slots on their phone.

SyncCell provides a fully supported and powerful Contact Manager allowing the user to quickly and easily Edit, Create, Sync and generally manage contacts. By using the category setting in contacts you can chose which contacts will be synched automatically.

10. Why do my All Day Outlook meetings show on my phone at 7:51 AM?

Not all Motorola phones, such as the Verizon V3m, support All Day Events. In these cases, SyncCell will write an All Day Outlook Event as a 7:51 AM event on your phone. For phones that do support All Day Events, SyncCell will correctly write them that way.

14. When I sync my calendar, the meeting times show earlier than my Outlook Calendar. How do I fix this?

On some phone models, such as the Verizon V3m, it is necessary for the phone to be fully powered on prior to connecting SyncCell with the phone and syncing the calendar.

Some phone models, such as the Verizon K1m, contain a firmware defect that causes the time on the phone events to off.  While SyncCell cannot do anything related the phone's firmware defect, SyncCell does allow a manual "adjustment" of the times that are read from and written to the phone.  The settings are located on the SyncCell->Settings->Advanced page.
