How To Configure Basic Contact Synchronization for
OneSync:
Unlike Calendar Events, Contacts Entries
are not set by default to synchronize when you run OneSync.
In order to have your Contacts Entries synchronize every
time you run OneSync, you will need to follow the steps
provided in this How To.
1. Start
SyncCell and click 'Settings' from the menu buttons
on the main screen:

2. The
'Settings & Options' dialog window will appear.
Click the 'Contacts (Basic)' configuration tab at the
top of the 'Settings & Options' dialog box:

3. Locate
the 'OneSync Settings' section on the 'Contacts (Basic)'
tab of the 'Settings & Options' dialog window.

The 'OneSync Settings' section allows
you to determine how OneSync will handle synchronization
of your Contacts entries. You'll notice that this section
has three possible choices with "None" being
the default
selection - meaning that OneSync will not, by default,
synchronize your Contacts entries. In order for your
Contacts entries to be synchronized each time you run
OneSync, you'll have to select one of the other two
remaining options.
We'll look at each of these two remaining options in
the following steps.
4. Backup
Mobile Device Contacts Only - Choose this option if
you only want to backup Contacts from your mobile device
to your Outlook client.

Selecting the 'Backup Mobile Device Contacts
Only' option means that - when you run OneSync - contacts
that you manually entered into your mobile device will
be copied to your Outlook Client. Any new Contacts you
might have stored in Outlook will not copy to
your mobile device.
5. Sync Contacts
- Choose this option if you want OneSync to synchronize
your Contacts between your mobile device and your Outlook
client.

Selecting this option turns on the functionality that
will allow OneSync to keep your Contacts synchronized
between your mobile phone and your Outlook client, but
further configuration is required. Notice that selecting
this option displays a previously hidden frame allowing
you to 'Select a Common OneSync Preset Configuration.'

At this point you have one of two options. You can either
'Select a Common OneSync Preset Configuration' or click
on the 'Contacts (Advanced)' tab of the 'Settings &
Options' dialog window to manually configure how OneSync
is to handle Contacts synchronization. For the purposes
of this How To guide we will only look at the common preset
configurations. For more options and manual configuration,
please refer to the Contacts Advanced How To Guide. How

a category of "sync". This is the most common
selection for people who wish to identify a specific set

Note: If you fall into this group, but want to
use a category other than "sync" please see
the Contacts Advanced How To guide. How
